Udo Doring

CEO and Executive Director, Advisory Board Centre

As CEO and Executive Director of the Advisory Board Centre, Udo Doring is responsible for driving thought leadership for the future development of the advisory sector globally. He holds various board roles across Australia, Asia and the United Kingdom.

Udo was previously the CEO and President of the Australian Pathway Education Group (APEG) based in Shanghai, a subsidiary of Edith Cowan University in Perth, Australia. The group focuses on providing education outcomes in China, as well as identifying investment opportunities across the region. Prior to joining APEG, Udo was the CEO and Executive Director of The Australian Chamber of Commerce, Shanghai. Udo led a team of 25 staff across four departments to drive the Chamber’s mission to strengthen Australia-China business, government and relationships. Under Udo’s leadership, AustCham Shanghai tripled its revenue, expanded its services, grew membership and supported a rapidly changing landscape for Australian businesses operating in China.

Before joining the Chamber, Udo worked in a number of roles in business strategy and human resources consulting, as well as spending time in London with the Queensland Government’s Trade and Investment office. He holds an Executive MBA from Saïd Business School at Oxford University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts from the Queensland University of Technology and a Graduate Certificate of Chinese Law from Hong Kong City and Murdoch Universities.
